It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Todd Mack, the visionary founder of Foursided and a beloved member of the Lakeview East community. Todd passed away, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and a lasting impact on the people he touched throughout his life.
Todd’s journey began in 2002 when he opened a small frame shop on Broadway in Chicago. What started as a humble venture soon blossomed into FIVE cherished locations, each reflecting his passion for art, design, and connection. His unique vision brought people together, and Foursided became not just a business but a gathering place for the community to experience the beauty of framed art and the power of creativity.
Beyond his work with Foursided, Todd was a dedicated leader and active neighbor in the Lakeview East area. As the former Chamber President and a founding member of the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, he played an integral role in shaping the vibrant, creative neighborhood we love today. His commitment to making the community a better place will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of working with him.
Todd was more than a business owner and community leader; he was a friend, a mentor, and a source of inspiration. His generosity, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm made him a true pillar of the Lakeview East community. Those who knew him will forever remember his dedication to others, his boundless creativity, and his unwavering support for both local artists and small businesses.
A memorial service to celebrate Todd’s life will be held on January 26th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Artifact Events, located at 4325 N. Ravenswood, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Todd’s honor to the Chicago Diabetes Project, an organization that was close to his heart.
Todd’s impact on our community will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who carry forward his passion for art, creativity, and connection. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched and the community he helped to build. May he rest in peace.
