Kennedy Freeman, 22, of Gaston, South Carolina, unexpectely passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Columbia Highway near Bogeyville Road in Ridge Spring, Aiken County. The accident occurred around 7:18 p.m., and despite being rushed to Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Kennedy succumbed to her injuries at 8:16 p.m.
Kennedy was known for her kind heart and bright spirit. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion, and infectious laughter. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a devoted individual who brought light to every room she entered.
Kennedy is survived by family members, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and law enforcement authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
