It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Keontae Grinder, a young man of 21 years, whose life was tragically cut short on the morning of Monday, January 12, 2025. Keontae was a resident of Liberty County, Georgia, and was beloved by his family, friends, and community.
Keontae’s life was taken outside the Amazon fulfillment center on Triple B Trail in Pooler, where he was shot in the parking lot. Despite efforts to save him, Keontae was transported to a Savannah hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Chatham County Coroner’s Office confirmed Keontae’s identity and shared that he had been shot at least once. An autopsy has been scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation into his untimely death.
Keontae is remembered as a bright and caring individual who touched the lives of those around him. He had a warm, infectious personality that made him a friend to many, and his absence will leave a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
