RALEIGH, NC – Raleigh police are investigating a shooting incident at North Hills on Friday morning, which left at least one person dead. Authorities responded to the scene around 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooter in the area.
Although the police have confirmed that this is not an active shooter situation, they have urged the public to avoid the area. A large police presence was observed at the North Hills shopping center, located off Six Forks Road, with at least 20 police vehicles visible in a camera shot taken before 11 a.m.
At least one person was seen injured at the scene, and authorities have not yet provided further details regarding the victim. Officers were scattered near the entrance of the shopping center on The Circle At North Hills Street, and multiple roads surrounding the area have been closed as part of the ongoing investigation.
