It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic loss of Tien Bohne, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, whose life was senselessly cut short , in River Ridge, Louisiana. Tien, along with her 2-year-old child and her partner, were tragically killed in a deputy-involved shooting that also left two other children wounded.
The 46-year-old allegedly shot his wife, and their toddler, Amy Bohne, killing both. His 13-year-old daughter placed the 4 a.m. 911 call that brought Jefferson Parish deputies to the home. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Tien Bohne, known for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, was a cherished member of her community and a beloved parent. Her life was dedicated to her children, and she worked tirelessly to create a loving and nurturing home. Tien’s radiant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to the heartbreaking loss of Tien, her 2-year-old child, whose bright future was tragically taken, and her partner, are remembered with love. The family’s pain is compounded by the injuries sustained by two other children, who remain in recovery.
St. Matthew the Apostle School, where Tien and her family were active members of the community, will host a Rosary and Intercession at 6 PM this evening in their church. All are invited to join in prayer as we come together to support the Bohne family during this incomprehensible and devastating time. The loss of Tien and her family weighs heavily on the hearts of many, and we offer our deepest condolences to those affected by this tragedy.
May Tien, her child, and her partner rest in peace, and may the Bohne family find strength and comfort in the love and support of their community. Our hearts and prayers are with the Bohne family as they navigate this unbearable grief.
