A juvenile has been taken into custody following the death of 17-year-old Mason Sheets, who was found dead in a vehicle late Sunday night in Fulton, according to the Fulton Police Department.
Authorities say the teenager had been shot multiple times. Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle at the intersection of South Business 54 and Commons Drive around 11:51 p.m. Sunday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim, who was later pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.
The Fulton Police Department has not released additional details about the suspect at this time, but a juvenile has been detained in connection with the incident.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
