Stow, OH – James ‘Jimmy’ Mashburn, an intervention specialist at Stow-Munroe Falls High School, has died following an accident, friends confirmed. Mashburn, who was 31 years old, had been a valued member of the school community since August 2022.
A 2010 graduate of Coventry High School, Mashburn went on to attend Stark State College of Technology and the University of Akron, where he earned his Bachelor of Education in 2018. Prior to joining Stow-Munroe Falls, he worked as an intervention specialist at Green Local Schools.
Mashburn’s death has left his colleagues, students, and the wider community grieving. The school district expressed condolences and praised Mashburn for his dedication to helping students succeed. Details surrounding the accident have not been released, but tributes have poured in from those who knew him.
