Police are investigating after a person one person reportedly committed suicide in Ashford, prompting significant road closures in the area. The M20 is closed in both directions between Junction 8 (Hollingbourne) and Junction 10 (Ashford) due to a police-led incident.
In addition, the A28 Canterbury Road is closed from the junction of Simone Weil Avenue to Cemetery Lane. Kent Police are on the scene, with National Highways Traffic Officers assisting with traffic management.
Motorists are being warned of heavy traffic around Junction 9, as well as on the A20 and A28, as a result of the ongoing incident. Investigation is actively ongoing.
