Caleb Alan Shermoe, 20, of Fowlerville, Michigan, tragically passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, following an assault in East Lansing. Caleb was a bright, loving young man with a bright future ahead of him, and his untimely passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
On that fateful night, Caleb was transported to Sparrow Hospital by the East Lansing Fire Department after being assaulted in the 300 block of East Grand River Avenue. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Caleb succumbed to his injuries. The East Lansing Police Department has been actively investigating the case and is working toward bringing justice to Caleb and his family.
Caleb was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and passion for life. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. His warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path.
He is survived by his parents, family, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly. His family asks for privacy as they mourn this unimaginable loss but is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community during this difficult time.
