It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shelbe Butner, who tragically lost her life in a training accident at Georgia’s Fort Stewart Army base. Shelbe was one of two individuals who died during a training exercise, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to serving her country.
Shelbe’s remarkable spirit and beautiful soul touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her courage, determination, and infectious energy inspired those around her to be better, to strive harder, and to live with purpose.
