Lewiston, ME – Authorities are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred this evening near Ash Street, outside The Cage Bar. Witnesses reported hearing three gunshots fired in the area, and three suspects were seen fleeing down Ash Street towards the post office.
A male, who was reportedly the target of the shooting, was seen stumbling around after the shots rang out before collapsing to the ground. It’s unclear at this time whether he was injured by the gunfire or if his condition is related to intoxication.
A woman at the scene flagged down an officer, and emergency services quickly responded. Six police cruisers and an ambulance were on-site as the situation unfolded. The injured male was tended to by paramedics, and an investigation is ongoing.
