It is with deep sorrow that we share the untimely passing of Deshaon Labraunt Lewis, a beloved young man who was tragically taken from us on February 1, 2025, just after midnight. Deshaon, 18, was a vibrant and kind soul whose life was cut short by senseless violence.
Deshaon was found at the scene of a tragic incident at Nash Barbeque in Decatur, where he had been fatally injured by gunshot wounds. Despite the best efforts of emergency responders and medical personnel at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Deshaon succumbed to his injuries.
Deshaon will be remembered for his bright smile, infectious energy, and his genuine heart. He was a cherished member of his community, and those who knew him will forever hold his memory dear. Although his life was short, Deshaon’s impact on those around him was immeasurable. His family and friends will miss him dearly and continue to honor his spirit through the love and joy he brought into their lives.
