Chesapeake Murder-suicide – A devastating situation unfolded Thursday morning in the Peaceful Village neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of three children and a woman. The Chesapeake Police Department is investigating the murder-suicide that occurred in the 3000 block of Welcome Road.
Police received a welfare check call at approximately 6:55 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered an armed individual inside the residence. The situation quickly escalated into a barricade, prompting the deployment of the SWAT team.
The woman who shot and killed her three kids was identified as Cymone King; the children were identified as 13-year-old Kanaurie King and twins Ermais and Emani, before taking her own life Thursday morning on Welcome Rd. in Chesapeake
