It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Isadore Morton Gudelsky, 56, of Bethesda, who tragically lost his life in a fatal collision on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Isadore was a beloved member of his family and community, known for his kindness, generosity, and strong sense of loyalty to those he loved.
At approximately 2:38 p.m. on the day of the incident, Isadore was driving a 2013 Lexus RSX350 as he exited an assisted living facility located on the 2600 block of Olney Sandy Spring Road. Tragically, his vehicle was struck by a 2019 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound on the same road. Despite the heroic efforts of 4th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, Isadore was found pinned in the vehicle and unresponsive. He was quickly extricated and transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, where he later passed away.
Isadore leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. An adult female passenger in his vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has since been treated and released.
The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is actively investigating the circumstances of the collision.
A private memorial service for Isadore will be held, with details to be announced. The family asks for privacy during this difficult time as they grieve the loss of a remarkable man.
