It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of two beloved members of the Franklinville community, Brenden Cary and Dominic Reyes, both 19 years old. Brenden and Dominic, who were current students and recent graduates of Delsea Regional High School, tragically lost their lives in a devastating car accident on March 10, 2025.
The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on the northbound side of Route 55, near Exit 48, and involved multiple vehicles. According to investigators, Brenden, who was driving north on Route 55, collided with a Honda CRV, tragically ending his life and the life of his close friend, Dominic. The crash, which claimed the lives of these young men, has left their families, friends, and the entire Delsea community heartbroken.
Brenden was remembered for his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. He had a passion for sports and enjoyed spending time with friends, making memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Dominic, with his compassionate nature and infectious laugh, was always the first to lend a hand and offer support to those in need. His unwavering positivity was a source of inspiration for many.
In addition to their many friendships, both young men shared a close bond with their families. They are survived by their loving parents, siblings, and extended family members who will forever hold them close in their hearts.
The Delsea community has lost two bright, promising young individuals, but Brenden and Dominic’s spirits will live on in the countless lives they touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families during this incredibly difficult time.
