Those who lost their lives in this incident are:
Jacklyn D. Payne, age 54, a beloved mother and wife, was living with her father, Eugene “Jack” Denny, following her separation from her husband. She was a kind-hearted and caring woman, who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Eugene “Jack” Denny, age 79, a proud father and grandfather, was known for his wisdom, kindness, and commitment to family. His passing is a devastating loss to his loved ones and the community.
Russell David Payne, age 54, of Marietta, Georgia, was involved in the tragic events that led to the deaths. He was the estranged husband of Jacklyn and the individual responsible for the attack. His actions on that fateful evening have left an indelible mark of sorrow on his family and the community.
The sole survivor of this horrific incident is a victim whose identity has not been publicly disclosed. This individual remains in critical condition at an area hospital, battling life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have confirmed that Russell David Payne arrived at the home on Woodstation Road by vehicle before he began shooting multiple .223 caliber rounds into the rear of the residence. After firing outside, he proceeded to enter the home, continuing his assault.
