It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Kyle Debevec, age 26, of Gurnee, Illinois. Kyle was involved in a devastating accident early Saturday morning, March 8, 2025, near Stearns School Road and Mill Creek Drive. He was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital after succumbing to the injuries sustained in the crash.
At approximately 2:05 a.m., Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene where they found a heavily damaged Mercedes-Benz sedan. Investigators determined that Kyle, who had been driving east on Stearns School Road, unexpectedly drove off the south side of the road and struck a tree. He was quickly pulled from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital but tragically passed away from his injuries.
Kyle was known for his warm personality and kind-hearted nature. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend who brought joy to everyone who knew him. His passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends, but they will forever remember his love, laughter, and the impact he made on their lives.
