It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of 24-year-old Cameron Dorsey of Memphis, Tennessee. Cameron died from critical injuries sustained during a shooting outside a gas station in South Nashville on Monday afternoon, March 10, 2025.
Cameron, who had been living in Nashville, was a young man full of promise, with his life tragically cut short. On Monday, Cameron was involved in an incident that began as a vehicle pursuit on Linbar Drive toward Wallace Road, leading to an altercation at a gas station parking lot. It was there that Cameron was critically wounded, later succumbing to his injuries.
Known for his kind heart and loyalty to his family and friends, Cameron leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend who had aspirations for a bright future. His untimely passing has left those who knew him heartbroken and deeply saddened.
Cameron was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and had recently relocated to Nashville. He was known for his sense of humor, his caring nature, and his determination to overcome life’s challenges. Although his time on this earth was short, Cameron’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Cameron is survived by his loving family and countless friends who will miss him dearly. The Metro Nashville Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
