It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of 59-year-old Scott Pelikan, who tragically lost his life in a house fire on the evening of Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana. Scott was found deceased at the scene of the fire at a residence in the 200 block of South St. James Boulevard, where first responders from the Evansville Fire Department pronounced him dead.
Born on September 17, 1965, Scott was a beloved member of the Evansville community. He will be remembered for his kind nature, strong work ethic, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. Scott’s presence in the neighborhood was always appreciated, and he was known for his warm smile and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Scott’s family and friends are devastated by this unexpected loss, but they take comfort in the memories of the many happy moments shared with him throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that will not be forgotten.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, and he is survived by numerous family members and close friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held at a later date.
