A shooting near Texas Southern University (TSU) on Wednesday afternoon led to the school issuing a shelter-in-place order for its students. The Houston Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ennis and Rosewood.
TSU officials issued an alert, advising students to stay inside as authorities work to locate the suspects. According to the alert, police are searching for two individuals, one of whom was seen running eastbound toward the southern campus.
The first suspect is described as a thin man with short dreadlocks, wearing a white T-shirt, dark-colored shorts, and carrying a white bag. The second suspect is a heavier Black man with dreadlocks, dressed in a white shirt and carrying a black bag.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances of the shooting. Students are urged to stay alert and follow any additional instructions from university officials.
