It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of O’Brian Grant, who tragically lost his life on the morning of Saturday, April 20, 2025, in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. He was 20 years old.
O’Brian was a bright and promising student at Claflin University, where he was pursuing his dreams and building a future filled with hope and purpose. His presence on campus and in the community was marked by kindness, ambition, and a quiet strength that touched those who knew him.
Born with a warm spirit and a generous heart, O’Brian was beloved by friends, classmates, and faculty alike. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
He was discovered on the side of Legendary Drive, the victim of a tragic act of violence that is currently under investigation by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Though his time with us was far too short, O’Brian’s life made a lasting impact. He will be remembered not for the tragedy of his passing, but for the light he brought into the lives of others.
