It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Travon Jamal Davis, age 25, who tragically lost his life on the evening of Monday, April 21, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
IMPD North District officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 900 block of Lake Nora South Court at around 6:42 p.m. Officers found Travon with gunshot wounds.
Travon was born in 1999 and spent his life surrounded by the love of family and friends. Known for his warm heart, easy smile, and deep loyalty to those he cared about, Travon touched many lives in his short time with us. Whether he was sharing a laugh, lending a hand, or simply being present, he made those around him feel valued and seen.
Travon is survived by family and loved ones who are grieving this unimaginable loss and remembering the joy he brought into their lives.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Details regarding memorial services will be announced by the family at a later time.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the incident, and a person of interest has been detained.
Travon’s life mattered, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace
