The Foster City Police Department is currently mourning the unexpected passing of one of its employees, which occurred this morning at the department. The deceased victim reportedly died by suicide.
At this time, there is no threat to public safety. In order to ensure uninterrupted service to the community, the San Mateo Police Department—along with other San Mateo County law enforcement agencies—will be assisting with calls for service throughout today and potentially over the next few days.
