16-year-old  Kristian Correa-Gomez of White Bluff  sadly passed away following a car crash on Monday night. The crash occurred on Highway 70 South at Charlotte Pike. According to report, Correa-Gomez was driving a Dodge Charger at a high speed when it crossed into oncoming traffic, collided with a utility pole, and rolled multiple times into the field.

Correa-Gomez died at the scene, and police say a toxicology test will be performed to establish whether impairment had a role in the incident.

Jake Cuccia who lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has sadly passed away. Family and loved ones are deeply shattered at the news of Jake’s passing. Jake’s cause of death has not been made public at this time.

The Van Meter Veterinary Clinic mourns the death of Dr. Chelsea Iennarella-Servantez who was a bright spot in the clinic. Dr. Chelsea was a PhD student at The Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She was a devoted and zealous PhD student whose focus of study was related to diet induced inflammation. Her academic journey stretch across various fields such as gastrointestinal immunology, clinical nutrition, nutritional toxicology, transnational medicine, and animal models of disease.

Rebecca Del Pizzo has sadly passed away. Her husband, Thomas Pappanastasiou shared the news of her demise on his Facebook page.

In his words, “I never thought I’d be making a post like this. I’d do anything and everything to make this not real. Late Tuesday night my sweet, beautiful, radiant, counterpart, soulmate, light of my life and wife Rebecca Del Pizzo passed on. I’m absolutely crushed and gutted.

I’m not ok. I don’t know how to be without you. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you. I won’t ever be the same. You made me and so many around us better versions of ourselves. I know in my heart I did the same for you. I wish the demons lost, not us. I love you so so soooo much my Bex, forever and always.”
